Responsibilities
- To serve as civil engineer on large and complex million dollar projects;
- Ability to effectively communicate with the client on all projects;
- To work on a team of engineers managing a project from start to finish;
- To be able work well within the team to meet deadlines and give the best possible product to the client within budget and on time.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- B.S. in Civil Engineering;
- Minimum of 3 years civil engineering experience in a deadline driven environment;
- FE Certification preferred;
- Must be proficient in Microstation;
- Must be proficient in AutoCad-Civil 3D;
- Experience in water systems a plus;
- Experience in site layout, grading, erosion control, hydrology modeling, pipe profiles and utilities;
- Excellent organizational, written and verbal skills a must.
Work Environment
A Georgia based multi-discipline engineering and design-build firm is seeking a full-time civil designer, with an EIT license, to fill a position in our Cobb Co. Water Systems office. This position requires 3-5 years’ experience primarily in industrial, federal and municipal building projects. Candidate must have experience in coordinating Utility Design into DOT Roadway projects. Primary duties will include, but not limited to, designing new water mains in coordination with proposed CCDOT or GDOT roadway for Cobb County Water Systems. AutoCAD-Civil 3D and Microstation experience is required. Revit experience is a plus.
