Marietta, GA-based company is seeking a civil/transportation engineer to fill a position in our Corporate Marietta office as department head and project manager. This person should have extensive experience in roadway design and project management; in depth knowledge, understanding and experience of/in GDOT's Plan Development Process (PDP) and Local Administrated Project (LAP) Manual; has broad experience in the delivery of local transportation projects and is knowledgeable of environmental considerations associated with pre-construction activities. 

Skills:

• Should be detail-oriented and display excellent written and oral communication skills
• Should be self-motivated/self-starter and have the ability to work with a diverse group of engineering/construction personnel
• Should have the ability to prepare documents appropriately focused for the targeted audience including elected officials, media, staff and the general public

Requirements:

 

• BS in Civil Engineering
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the state of Georgia and holding a GSWCC Level II Design Professional Certification
• Ability to manage/supervise 3-5 engineers
• 15-20 years of experience performing transportation engineering work in the appropriate field, 5 years of which include supervisory/project manager duties
• Job experience with GA Dept. of Transportation a plus
