The VA Millington CBOC is a design-build-finance project that is approximately 40,000 GSF in one contiguous space. It is a single story, steel framed type II structure. The skin is brick veneer with cast stone accents. To shield clients from the elements, it features a porte-cochère that leads to automatic sliding doors opening to an enclosed vestibule with a large expanse of laminated glass at the front façade. The sides of the building have fixed windows and laminated glazing to increase natural lighting throughout the clinic. It is designed to LEED® Silver standards.
Special design elements include multipurpose rooms/areas, 50 configurable exam rooms, conference rooms and a custom-built reception desk. The clinic also offers both audiology and optometry services for its clients. Finishes are all high-end LVT flooring, accent vinyl flooring, carpeted offices and ceramic tile restrooms.
