Morris Avenue Streetscape

Engineering Design Technologies, Inc. (EDT) provided CEI for the Morris Avenue Streetscape. Included in the scope of work are ALDOT quantity verification and approval, material testing, storm water inspections, surveying and various other inspections as required by ALDOT.  This project will enhance the appearances and promotes pedestrian movement to surrounding amenities. Within the project area of Morris Avenue from 16th Street North to 19th Street North the new Birmingham Intermodal Facility is under construction. This three block facility will house the Birmingham Jefferson County Transit Authority (BJCTA); MAX and DART station; Greyhound and Amtrak Stations. The enhanced pedestrian lighting, sidewalks, and landscaping will be beneficial to the pedestrians of our city who are utilizing the various modes of transportation offered at the Intermodal Facility. The construction value for the project is $1,650,000.
