ATLANTA, GA. — EDT Inc unveiled its brand new collaboration space in its Marietta office today as a part of EDT’s commitment to its employees. The collaboration space is intended as a multi use area for relationship building and extended event staging area.
Wood furniture was provided by Alabama artist, Robin Wade, who shares EDT’s philosophy of sustainability. Robin Wade employes a very unique process that began with isolating and harvesting a locally fallen tree. The otherwise unused wood is milled in his state-of-the-art warehouse and set to dry/cure. When ready, the wood is sanded and shaped into benches, desks, dining tables, coffee tables and conference tables.
Using Walnut and Oak, Robin and his staff manufactured two monumental standing tables and an assortment of benches, a coffee table and a special accent table. The artistry and functionality that Robin was able to create far exceeded our expectations and we are proud to be associated with an artist of Robin’s character and talent. More examples of Robins work can be found here.
EDT President, Tony Taylor PhD, says,”Workplace environments are changing at a rapid pace and we wanted to create an area that accommodates the needs of our employees and clients. We feel like we were able to capture that with this new space and the craftsmanship displayed by Robin Wade really helped bring it all together.”
