Engineering Design Technologies, Inc. (EDT) was chosen as Exelon’s Specialty Engineer of Choice for BGE (formally Baltimore Gas & Electric) to perform cathodic protection test station testing. Therefore, EDT is currently working to provide Exelon with the necessary data to determine Federal Regulatory Compliance as well as troubleshooting any system problems that may be found. This work is critical to asset integrity and will prolong the useful life of miles of underground piping.
Since 2017, EDT has provided comprehensive anode testing, station field surveys and additional supporting work, including on-site technical training, rectifier maintenance and construction inspection support for Exelon’s cathodic protection systems in the Baltimore area.
